With just one UK region defying the declining trend, home sales decline by 30.5%

UNITED KINGDOM: Reduced homebuyer activity has caused a -30.5% reduction in UK home sales, according to research from the network of personal estate agents eXp UK. The only location to claim an increase in transactions is one Scottish city. (Reported by news source)

In the UK, there have been 843,600 successful sales transactions over the past 12 months. This represents a decrease of -30.5% from the 1.2 million sales made in the preceding 12 months.

A regional review of the UK market reveals that sales have decreased across the board, but nowhere more so than in the East of England, where they have decreased by -37.3% annually, from 125,808 to 78,887.

The East Midlands (-31.9%), West Midlands (-30.8%), Yorkshire & Humber (-29.7%), North West (-28.3%), North East (-23.6%), Northern Ireland (-22.5%), and Wales (-19.6%) have also seen a considerable decline in transactions.

One UK site, though, defied the general tendency and experienced an increase in transaction volume.
