Manchester will approve the groundbreaking Didsbury office renovation

MANCHESTER: Both the 82,000 square feet of timber-framed workplace proposed by Bruntwood Works and the £213 million mixed-use redevelopment of a prominent site off Deansgate are expected to receive approval. (Reported by news source)

The two significant projects will be discussed by the planning committee of Manchester City Council on Thursday.

In the proposal, the old Great Northern Warehouse will be transformed into 120,000 square feet of offices and three brand-new blocks will contain 746 dwellings.

There would be 430 two-bedroom dwellings among the ones with one to three bedrooms. Due to viability issues, no affordable housing on-site is envisioned.

The 34-story tower would be the tallest part of the housing complex. The long-awaited project's housing component consists of two blocks that are 27 stories tall and a third that is 16 stories tall.

The construction of the residential towers, the partial destruction of the leisure box, and the renovation of Deansgate Terrace's southern end would all be included in phases B and C.
