Glasgow to witness a massive development surge due to the approval of almost 350 houses by GHD
Glasgow: Gorbals, located within Glasgow will experience an explosive surge of development with the construction of 42 houses and 307 apartments, which will border Laurieston, reported a news source.
The housing units, bordering Laurieston will comprise 42 houses and 307 apartments, which will be built by Urban Union. The site is bounded by Ellington Street Gorbals street Norfolk Street and Cumberland Street. The construction work will be performed by Urban Union. This development will consist of one and two-bedroom flats, and three and four-bedroom houses all for private sale. The plans also feature commercial units at one of the blocks.
Twelve blocks of properties have currently been decided, which will include both terraced houses as well as apartments. Two of the apartment buildings will be six storeys high. This developmental project will have a huge impact on the street level, which will revitalize Norfolk Street adding vibrancy and activity to it.
The plans for the project were given the go-ahead by Glasgow City Council on 18th May, Wednesday.
