85% of property owners would swap their homes and move back into their childhood home

UNITED KINGDOM: According to the most recent survey conducted by rental and estate agents Benham and Reeves, 85% of UK homeowners say they'd house switch in a heartbeat if it meant going back to their childhood home, even if the majority of them think they've found their dream home. While this might be the case, it seems like some people might be persuaded to switch houses depending on the incentives.

In fact, Benham and Reeves discovered that 85% of those polled would willingly exchange their present residence for the chance to go back to their childhood residence.

A property swap would also excite 36% of respondents if it meant leaving the UK for their preferred foreign nation or vacation spot.

Hence, even if the majority of UK homeowners think they have discovered their dream home on the current housing market, it should come as no surprise that a significant portion of them would give it up to go back to their childhood home.
